Business Advisory | Strategy | Capital | Transactions
Building a successful business requires more than a good idea. It requires sound structure, access to capital, financial discipline, thoughtful execution, and the ability to make good decisions when the path forward is not always clear.
I work directly with entrepreneurs, founders, and small to mid-sized companies to help navigate important decisions involving capital, organizational structure, operations, transactions, and growth strategy.
My approach is practical and hands-on. I bring experience from institutional finance, law, investment management, and building and operating entrepreneurial businesses to help companies solve problems and move forward.
A strong concept needs the right business foundation. I work with founders to translate an idea or opportunity into a functioning business by helping develop the organizational, financial, and operational framework necessary for growth.
Includes: Company & ownership structure, capitalization strategy, financial planning, governance, operational infrastructure, strategic partnerships, and preparation for outside investment.
Raising capital should not be viewed as an isolated transaction. It should be part of the company's broader business strategy.
I help companies determine their capital requirements, evaluate debt and equity alternatives, develop financial projections, prepare for investor discussions, and consider how financing decisions affect ownership and long-term growth.
Perspective informed by institutional capital markets, investment management, and entrepreneurial execution from both sides of the table.
Growing businesses frequently need experienced executive leadership before they need—or can justify—another full-time senior executive.
I provide flexible, project-based support as a Fractional Chief Strategy Officer, Fractional COO, or Senior Advisor, working directly with founders and management on strategic initiatives, financial planning, organizational development, transactions, operations, and special situations.
Objective: Experienced executive assistance when needed without adding permanent executive overhead.
Growth often creates opportunities—and complexity. I advise companies and entrepreneurs evaluating acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, financing transactions, new business opportunities, and other significant commercial relationships.
My Role: Evaluate the opportunity, identify key financial/business considerations, structure the transaction, coordinate the process, and maintain alignment with long-term objectives.
My Business Advisory practice is primarily focused on entrepreneurs, founders, emerging companies, and established small to mid-sized businesses facing an important stage of growth, transition, or opportunity.
Engagements may involve launching a company, raising capital, restructuring an existing business, evaluating an acquisition, negotiating a strategic relationship, developing financial and operating plans, or simply giving the founder another experienced executive at the table when an important decision needs to be made.
Industry Experience Includes:
Strategic, financial, operational, and transactional assignments across a range of industries and stages of business development.
Structured an oil and gas operating company and assisted in developing and executing its financing strategy.
Advised a pharmaceutical supply company on capitalization, organizational structure, and operating strategy.
Developed and implemented a marketing strategy for a national hedge fund and established compliance protocols supporting its marketing and business-development activities.
Advised on the development and structure of a mortgage organization and related securitization platform.
Structured a strategic joint venture between a biotechnology company and a national distributor.
I work on a flat-fee basis for every engagement. At the beginning of an engagement, we define the objective, scope of work, expected deliverables, and fee.
This allows clients to know the cost of the engagement in advance and keeps the focus on solving the business problem rather than tracking billable hours. Engagements can range from a defined transaction or strategic project to broader fractional executive and Business Advisory assignments.
Institutional Experience. Entrepreneurial Perspective.
My career has included senior positions in global financial institutions, investment management, law and compliance, as well as firsthand experience founding and operating entrepreneurial businesses.
Co-founded and operated a pharmaceutical business serving clinics and telehealth platforms. Worked across company formation, governance, regulatory compliance, financing strategy, vendor relationships, sourcing, operations, and strategic growth.
Spent more than a decade advising founders, executives, businesses, and investment sponsors on transactions, enterprise structuring, growth strategy, and complex commercial matters across multiple industries.
Held a senior leadership role within an investment management organization, with responsibility spanning operations, compliance, investor engagement, fundraising support, and strategic development.
Led syndication activities and capital-markets initiatives, working across investment banking, trading, and executive leadership. Developed internal capabilities supporting capital-markets execution and initiated an IPO origination program.
Led business development and institutional relationships involving commercial mortgage acquisitions and large-scale financial transactions.

Large organizations have sophisticated financial, strategic, legal, and operational resources available to them. Entrepreneurs often have to make equally consequential decisions with far fewer resources.
My goal is to help close that gap. I bring the discipline and perspective developed through institutional finance, investment management, law, executive leadership, and firsthand entrepreneurial experience to growing companies—without imposing institutional bureaucracy.
“Entrepreneurs need practical answers, not unnecessary complexity.”
